ABOUT PAGE
hello, welcome to my home page. my reason for creating that page is simple. as I am a student of a microinformatics and networks module, I need to learn many things, and one of them is HTML. as always, i loved HTML since i started getting into the world of programming, because i really wanted to create something. i found out about neocities when i was on myspace98, i remember that i went on a page of a colleague here, and i was crazy about wanting to create something. i always had a shortage of ideas, so the idea was always there. in the end i found the strength to create that page using many references without trying to steal any CSS, since i was influenced by Rodya's page.

my name is rin, and i'm 18 years old. i'm an enjoyer of coding and the study of computer science. i really enjoy making something that can truly help people make their lives easier.
i've been coding since i was young, and i really enjoyed the world of programming, so i have some knowledge of it since then. as for my hobbies, i love programming and painting; painting is a pretty relaxing way to spend time, so i enjoy it sometimes. i'm studying computer science, and i want it to be my main profession; nothing else really matters to me if it's not computer science.
as for games, idk... this year i played very little, so now i'm not as much of a gamer as i used to be before. but when i do play, i enjoy league of legends and random games i can play with my friends. with my girlfriend, i have a minecraft server hosted on aternos. i think that in the future, i will buy a hosting server to host my minecraft server there and not be dependent on it.
my favorite movie/series is shrek as a movie and skins as a series.
my favorite game is stardew valley.
my favorite song is semisonic - closing time.

this month was very productive! i made many things in only two-three weeks for my web-site. there are some changes that i remember:

i had an idea to make my web have the windows 98 style. i was doing everything from scratch, and it was awful because in design i'm not very good. so before, i found a page that already had the windows 98 css done. it was a surprise for me because i thought that nobody had made this, but i was really mistaken... so i just loaded this css and started to experiment. that's when i began designing my main page and making things bit by bit. in one day, i made the logo for the web and the "about me" window as a test to see if it worked. (it worked!)

this day i finished the canvas of my site. after spending the whole day tweaking and experimenting, i finally made the about me, under construction (now minesweeper), poll, chat, and main sections. it was hard and also frustrating, but i did it! i was very proud of myself when i finished it. then i started experimenting with java, working on moving windows and the closing window functions.

when i finally came back from moldova, i decided to not touch too much my page because of the practing of php and other stuff that i neded to do in my real-life. i only added the window for the webring, because before it was awful. also think to fix it in the future to make it better and be able to add more webring on this window.

i finished my app for blog posts, so i tested it and made a new post for my blog. also nothing special or changed, only fixing the window for webring in the index page.

i made a minesweeper as a suggestion of one of my friends on javascript, then i integrated it on my page instead of the underconstruction dude. also removed everything relationed with "underconstruction" or "in develop", because i think that the main page is done! i will add something bit a bit but not fixing anything.

as i said, i will add some things bit by bit. i added titles for every section on this window, and i made this section to show my updates on the page. also, i think i will add more sections there in the future. i'm also not sure whether to add the "to-do" list there or make it a separate window, like minesweeper or something similar, huh.

i finally fixed the window closing bug. the problem was that all windows were in the same div, so when you tried to close one, it would move because of that. after thinking for a long time about why it was happening, i finally fixed it. i also added photos to my blog section - now you can see pictures there. future updates will probably be the index page remake, and then i'll start working on the shrinks program maker for my web :D

today in class i had free time because the teacher was sick. all that time i spent first finding a reference to change the index page's style, and then another 3 hours working on it. for a while, i was really lost because i forgot how to make a page from scratch (yes, i was doing it from 0). little by little, i ended up with a new index page, better and optimized (when will i optimize the main page's code? who knows lol). well, now i have new ideas - i want to make 4 style types: this one (windows 98), windows 7, tumblr style, and some kind of classic blog page like heartdrive

(if seriously, this day was ironic because of the update i made for my page. the page was wiggling all the time and having a party. i also wanted to make the whole thing in spanish just because, but it would’ve destroyed everything and that wasn’t even my original idea. still, i think it was nice, and in the future i’ll probably make something new and better lmao.)

FIRE DAY! did way too much today finally nailed the start bar and built its menu. now this thing legit looks like an OS lmao. integrated minesweeper, buttons, and the neighbors app into it (want to appear there? hit me up on discord). all this when i just planned to tweak my personal button and study for my driver’s license. now i feel like sponge bob, because i got exam tomorrow LOOOL (03/04/2025).

this day i made a bit changes, like removing the clock to the start bar because it have no sense in main navigation so i just removed it.

after my mental breakdown from the test, i started working on a new style for my page. went with windows 7 this time - not gonna go as hard as the 98 version though (that shit took me two damn months with all those scripts and stuff lol). not planning to make it super script-heavy, but i'll still add draggable windows, start menu, etc. skipping the window closing feature for now - way too buggy (might mess with it later, but not rn. irl's a complete mess).

my exams are finished by now, and i have much of free time! so now i will try to implement new things to my page, as the review page and start menu of windows 7 style, also i need to make the new blog style and review page to windows 7 css, so bit by bit will trying to make it :3.

after so long time of chiling and taking a break of everything, i made new update. firstly, i made finally a taskbar and option for changing bg on every page, so now you can change background and shutdown style in every page! also i finally made function of review page, but by now it has only two reviews, i will try to end review this month whitout updating anything and etc, only reviews. also i'm thinking to end the windows 7 style for every page, but not now, in the close future.

ok, bit by bit i will do something new for my page, is time to comeback or something after so much time of no touching my website. now i have final exams so i have no time to work on it, but in the future i will update every page and for new themes and end the review stuff.

hi chat, i'm alive! finally finished my first course at technical school, so now i'm free, but also got a job. new blog stuff coming soon, since last week i was at freakcon (an anime convention). also, finally took the car test and blah blah blah. a lot happened last week. had no time, but i'll try to make some changes and fix bugs soon in my free time. also planning to finish the review section because i really want to talk about chrono trigger, the last game i finished! anyway, see ya (i guess).

new update on the page. even if i don’t have much time right now, i promise that once i start my practice at technical school, i’ll finish all the things i promised. for now, i’m studying for my driver’s license, working to save up for a new car, hanging with friends, and enjoying summer.

just finally optimized every page for phones. it was a huge challenge, but i made it. the next thing that i will make is finally end my windows 7 css style of page, because i haven't touched it since april lmao. also i can consider this style 100%, nothing else i will add there, but sometime i will update some stuff and add some minor things.

so, i made for windows 7 the footer that idk why, I hadn't made. now it appears well. also fixed the windows bug with the logo, that when you tried to drag it, it went down because of the zone of drag. anyway, there we are, now it works well and looks amazing on windows 7. :3
